Live at Port Fairy

Track List

Rick and John performed with Jim Conway (harmonicas) and Paul Robert Burton (stand-up bass and cahon) at the Port Fairy Folk Festival. Throughout the weekend they touched crowds with their enchanting songs from the highly acclaimed album ‘Shadows Fall’. By the last concert the hockers’ sides were splitting with new fans. The ABC recorded that very special performance in which they were joined by Anne Kirkpatrick and Eleanor McEvoy (violin) for standout spontaneous renditions of several of their songs.

Shadows Fall

The Brewster Brothers' 'Shadows Fall' is a stunning self produced debut album that glows and grows. John and Rick (of The Angels) have delivered a work that by years end should be on any self-respecting Australian top 10 "album of the year" list. Defining work by genuine blue bloods of the Australian music industry. (Excerpts from a review by Ross Stapleton - Music Journalist NME)

Any Day - Live EP

Recorded live at The Unity Hall Hotel, Balmain, on Sunday 28th September 2003. The disc features four songs:I Shall Be Released (Bob Dylan), Across The Border Line (Ry Cooder, John Hiatt, James Dickinson), Brother's Keeper, Do It Again. Far from being a reheated plate of Angel's leftovers, the recording, a slice of a show from last June, shows a mature development of old Angel's attitudes, a simpler, more accurate statement of social accounts.
